Saturday 12th March saw the third annual Cheddar Run take place, with enthusiasts from all around heading to the famous Cheddar Gorge, Somerset.

Anthony Johnson started it off a couple of years ago when he just wanted to go for a drive to the Gorge from his hometown of Taunton, and so gathered up some mates to accompany him.

"I chose such a place as the Gorge because it's quiet and remote so there is not likely to be any trouble."

"The drive on the A roads to Cheddar are amazing and I thought yes This event needs to be put out there for all to take part and enjoy."

Each year the numbers are steadily rising and with social media playing its part, 15 Minis turned out with almost half travelling in convoy from Bristol.

Anthony says "It may seem pointless event but the reason I chose to organise this was that it gives everyone a chance to meet new Mini owners and socialise, seeing others' Minis in action and also having the smiles come from the villagers with their cafes, restaurants etc. giving good food for all -definitely something not to complain about."

Anthony and all those who attended had a good day out and he hopes in the future they can attract a whopping 100 Minis to fill up the Gorge - wouldn't that be a beautiful sight!the mini's.
