ANOTHER MINI spontaneously combusts!

Reports of a second MINI spontaneously combusting have come from Somerton, Somerset in the UK this time.

The Western Gazette reports that firefighters were called to deal with a MINI on fire. Neighbour Barry Lacey told the newspaper; "Apparently she [the owner] came home from work in her MINI and went into the house. Her daughter came home from school and said 'there's a lot of smoke coming from the car, Mum'

"The next thing we knew the fire brigade turned up. They pushed the car out of the car port and onto the drive."

Two fire crews were called out and a spokesperson said of the incident: "On arrival crews discovered there had been a small fire in the car which was now out.

"Crews removed the car to the open air and used one hose reel to damp down. They also used a thermal imaging camera to check the hotspots.

"The fire was believed to have been caused by overheating electrical circuits."

The news comes just as MINI launches its new Convertible model.
