Classic Minis up for auction with CCA

Classic Car Auctions has another exciting event organised for December 5, 2015, with a number of classic Minis up for grabs!

The star attraction for Mini enthusiasts is this 1960 Austin Seven which is a particularly early model and is sure to attract a premiu8m above its £6-8k guide price.

This 1960 Austin Seven Saloon manual has been with the current owner for the last 43 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 50 / 135.

Classic Car Auctions says:
"Barn Find" not really, this wonderful little Austin Seven was registered to a lady in Worcestershire in 1960 and used until 1972, when it was then passed onto her nephew who was one of the main guys on the production of the Minis at Longbridge. At that point it was showing 39000 miles and has never been on the road since! This car is a gem of a find and really requires minor works to put back on the road, unless you want to go to town and strip it right back. Structurally it is very sound as are the A panels and the other weak body areas. It comes with an original service booklet and many receipts for works completed during its time on the road. It has many paper cuttings with the car featured in but the cream on the cake is it has the Buff Logbook confirming the ownership. This charismatic Mini is certainly one for the collector and is a sure fire investment.

Clubman enthusiasts will love this one, with its particular shade of Russet Brown.

It's a 1.1L 1977 Austin Morris Mini Clubman 1100 manual, coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 97 / 135.

Classic Car Auctions says:
Just 8,760 miles from new... A highly original 1977 Austin Mini Clubman.

Originally registered 31 Oct 1977, this Mini finished in Russet Brown was sold by Mann Egerton Co, Ltd, Bishops Stortford on 14 Oct 1977 to Miss S Bradford. Re-Sold 28 April 1978 to her friend Miss D R Godfrey, Seven Kings, Ilford because Miss Bradford had received a company car. Garaged in 1985 by the lady owner, Miss D R Godfrey when she stopped driving, she is said to of put the car in her garage and never used it again. At that time the car had covered a mere 8703 miles. She taxed it for 1986 but the tax disc was never used and is still with the car documents in the original square perforated paper.

The car was taken out for the first time and put back on the road this year. With a new MOT certificate issued in August 2015, with no advisories.

Safety related running gear (brake parts, headlights, tyres etc) we are told have been replaced. The fuel had solidified in the tank and a new petrol tank has been purchased and fitted. Almost all of these new parts are said to be original pattern from Moss Europe, the classic car specialists.

All MOTs from when it was on the road, service record, original BL handbook and Supercover envelope. Original keys and fob. Original unused 1986 tax disc included in its perforated paper. Described as highly original with even its original working BL Motorola radio, this car now some 38 years old is said to drive wonderfully.

If you're fancying something that need a little bit more work, and cheaper!, why not have a flutter on this 1964 Morris Mini. With some TLC needed to bring this Mini back to life, the auction has no reserve, meaning you could grab a bargain!

548 LOV was born on the 28th of February 1964 and cost the pricely sum of £388.11 to include the optional extra of a heater unit with fresh air!! This car was given to the current vendor for a 21st birthday present and has remained in his ownership for the last 51 years. This is the same owner as the Austin Seven also in our auction and has again that all so important Buff Logbook along with the newer v5.

The current vendor was Mr Mini at the Longbridge plant (Mini track chief supervisor), and so all the maintenance work was carried out by him over all the years on the road, as of today's date the car does need rebuilding as it was stripped in readiness for a rebuild just prior to the vendor being taken ill. We believe all parts are there to complete the build and looking at the bodywork and the usual problematic areas, these do not look too bad at all, so a good base to work from. Bear in mind this is a one owner very desirable 1964 Morris Mini.

Finally, there is a much more modern classic Mini up for sale too. This 1996 Mini Sprite may not be everyone's idea of a classic, but at almost 20 years old the likelihood of finding good quality examples of original spec Minis is dwindling by the day. So it may be a surprise to some to see the guide price touching a pricey £6000.

Offered for sale is a 1275cc 1996 Rover Mini Sprite automatic that has been with the current owner for the last two years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 93 / 135.

Classic Car Auctions says:
This bright Mini Sprite was purchased by the vendor's mother new in 1996 and was passed down a couple of years ago, at which time it underwent some renovation works in 2014 to bring it right up to date. Having travelled only 33000 miles it has hardly been used. The vendor finds the car a little small hence the only reason for the sale, come on everyone loves a Mini!
