The Colin McRae Forest Stages have been added to the calendar of this year’s Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship. The event, organised by Coltness Car Club was the reserve event for the series and becomes a points scoring round following the cancellation of Rally North Wales.
Confirming the news, Championship Secretary John Hunt said, “We were disappointed to hear of the cancellation of Rally North Wales particularly given the huge amount of work that had been put in by the organising team. We are confident, however, that the Colin McRae Forest Stages are a worthy substitute. I am sure our Championship contenders will love the Perthshire stages.” John added, “It seems particularly fitting that the event will be a round of our championship given that Jimmy McRae has chosen to tackle each round this year in the Vauxhall Magnum.
The Colin McRae Forest Stages will take place on Saturday October 4th. The next round of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship will now be the Pirelli Carlisle RB Foundation Rally on Saturday 3rd May.
