Footman James announces new partnership with parts supplier David Manners Group

One of the UK’s leading classic car insurance brokers is pleased to announce their new partnership with David Manners Group (DMG).

Footman James is embarking on a new relationship with David Manners Group (DMG) who supplies spare parts for modern and classic Jaguar & Daimler, MG & Triumph, Mazda MX5, Classic Mini and Morris Minor cars.

As partners, Footman James and DMG’s first order of business is for Footman James to insure a DMG project car. Spare parts provider David Manners Group (DMG) will be heading a project car restoration on a Morris Minor.

What’s so special about this project car?
After going on a search for months to find a car to restore, a donation has been made of a Morris Minor, which DMG agreed to compensate by donating £1500 to Birmingham Children’s Hospital on the owner's behalf.

Footman James and David Manners Group are determined to help young enthusiasts find their way into the classic car industry. As a result, DMG will select a few Morris Minor Owners’ Club young enthusiasts to participate in the restoration of the project car.

The parts and materials will be provided by DMG and IE MMC Lucas. IE MMC Lucas has donated £1500 towards the project, while Footman James is pleased to be able to insure the Morris Minor. The work will be carried out at a garage by the Classic Friendly Group who are dedicated to keeping classics safe and on the road. All the action will be captured and shared via YouTube to share tips on restoration and also to support the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

David Bond, Footman James’ Director said: “We look forward to developing our relationship with the David Manners Group. We are also very proud to be a part of this amazing project with DMG, IE MMC Lucas and the MMOC young enthusiasts as it is in line with our goals to sustain the classic vehicle movement by passing it onto the next generation. We look forward to seeing the restored Morris Minor and getting it back on the road!”

Kate Manners of David Manners Group commented: “Here at the David Manners Group we’re proud to announce our partnership with Footman James.”

“Keeping classic cars on the road is something we’re passionate about; what better partnership to nurse an old classic back to life and ensure that she’s protected on the road than the David Manners Group and classic insurers Footman James. Our Moggy is certainly in safe hands!”
