WEEKEND PREVIEW: 16-17 April

As the April weather changes from one extreme to the other you've got a 50/50 chance of enjoying some warmth and dryness if you venture outside this weekend, and here's what you could be doing:

APRIL 16
Pride of Longbridge
The Pride of Longbridge Rally has grown and grown over the years and is now a regular and popular fixture in the diary of stalwarts indulging in the classic way of life and all things Morris and Rover.
Any car that has a connection with Longbridge, from Austin 7s to Rover 75s,  Morris, MG,  Wolseley, Riley, Vanden Plas are all welcome.

APRIL 16-17
Mini 7 Racing - Brands Hatch GP
For the Mini Se7en Club's 50th year, they have been granted access to the GP circuit, and with a mixed gird of over 50 Minis lining up you can be assured of some exciting action! With last month's season opener rained off the drivers will be itching to drop the clutch and hit the tarmac.

APRIL 16-17
BTRDA Rallycross - Pembrey
This is where Mini racing gets really dirtty, as Christina Aguilera once spelt it... Fast and furious Minis on a dirt track with a fire in the drivers' bellies and a bit of bump and grinding guarenteed.

APRIL 16-17
HSCC Historic Touring Championship - Castle Combe
A little more traditional racing taking you back to the 60s and 70s with eveything from Hillman Imps and Lotus Cortinas up against the Mini in the classic battle of David and Goliath.

APRIL 16-17
Gurston Down Hillclimb
Fancy something a little different, why not head to Gurston Down to watch the Minis test themselves against the forces of nature (gravity) as they speed up the course fighting for the best time in Class.

APRIL 17
Leewood Autograss - North Western Qualifiers
A bit like the rallycross, the autocross is more confined to an oval track, where racers of all ages - some as young as seven - power their Mini cars round to try and take the win. Great action and comaraderie makes this a great day out.
