THE HRCR Mintex ‘old STAGER’ Championship 2015 incorporating the Mini Sport Mini Challenge and The HRCR Imp Cup

INTRODUCTION.
The popular ‘old Stager’ Clubman’s Rally Championship returns for 2015 after a year off. Our aim is to promote a simple no nonsense closed to club stage rally championship for club members. The format will be a six round championship with seven scores available and the best four scores to count.

Vladimir Vasilyev finishes second in Russia
Erik van Loon comes fifth

Just a month after the Dakar, the cross-country rally calendar featured the next event: the Northern Forest – Baja Russia, round one of the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup, held from 20th to 22nd February. At the end of three days and with 326 kilometres contested, the Russian pairing Vladimir Vasilyev / Konstantin Zhiltsov took their MINI ALL4 Racing to second position, with the Dutchmen Erik van Loon and Wouter Rosegaar coming fifth.

TV date for opening British Historic Rally Championship round

The TV coverage of the opening rounds of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship and the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship will first be screened on Friday 27 February at 9pm on Motors TV.

On the driver's first gravel rally for 25 years, Philip Harris and Alan Walker were delighted to get Phil's immaculate Mini Cooper to the finish and claim class B2 spoils.

The 2015 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship continues with round two, the Mid Wales Stages on Sunday 1 March.

Minis on Wyedean Rally

On Saturday 14^th February two Mini rally crews headed out to a wet and misty forest of Dean to complete on 8 special stages of the 40^th Wyedean Rally organised by Forest of Dean Motorclub.

Starting from Chepstow race course and heading out to the forest a total of 167 crews started the event.

Eric Davis and Russell Joseph in their yellow Mini Clubman went into the stages first ahead of Mini crew Peter Lewis and Paul Fife in their Mini Cooper S.

Unfortunately Eric and Russell although going very well in the tough conditions had to stop after special stage 3 due to no power from the engine. However the stage were kind to Peter and Paul and they finished the event 117 overall and 1 in class.
