How much?

Now, perhaps we're missing a trick here, but when the latest press release hit our inbox promoting a new type of ball-joint splitter, our eyes lit up and we read on, thinking that, although the current splitters do the job, it's always nice to have a bit of choice isn't it?

Well, that was until we saw the price. So much so, that we had to make enquiries to ensure it wasn't a typo and that other news vendors would be publicising the wrong price.

But alas, it was us. The price was right, but in our mind, it was very very wrong. We know, we're dragging it out a bit, but bear with us.

So, a typical ball-joint splitter from a typical Mini parts vendor would cost what? About £20-£25? In our mind that still seems a bit steep of a bit of shaped metal with a bolt through it, so you can imagine our horror when the aforementioned ball-joint splitter was priced at....  £106.68.

Is it us? Or is that just a tad steep? Now there maybe some fancy gubbins hidden away that we don't comprehend, but here's the press release and you can decide for yourself and then choose whether to berate us or not.
