UPCOMING: East Midlands Mini and VW Show

For over 20 years now classic cars have been turning out at Thoresby Park in Nottinghamshire to be gazed upon in awe by passers-by. In a couple of weeks time the beautiful park will be home again to many illustrious cars from a bygone era, and on the Bank Holiday Monday (2nd May) there will be a focus on two of the most popular marques ever - the Mini and the VW.

Combining two of the biggest car brands in the world has seen attendances for the show soar, so much so that the editor of Classic Motor Monthly reported the turn-out as "jaw-dropping". It's also an opportunity for Mini owners to see how the other half lives and step out of the Mini-bubble and explore the world of 'other' classic cars! 

With over 1000 display vehicles to drool over plus many trade stalls, autojumble and club stands there is plenty to keep you and the family entertained.

With its stunning and easy-to-get-to location, plus the hope of some decent weather - well it will be May so the sun better be out! - it's well worth putting in your diary for a day out on the Bank Holiday Monday.

What's more, it's not going to break the bank as it's only £7 entry and under-7s get in free! You can even bring along your pet pooch as long as it's on a lead. There are food and drink outlets plus a garden centre - but why not pack up a picnic and make a proper family day of it?
