Lancaster Insurance, headline sponsor of the
Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership display, will be shining a
spotlight on its own restoration project at this year’s Practical
Classics Restoration & Classic Car Show. Taking pride of place
on the insurer’s stand (9 - 245), the 1969 Morris Mini Super Deluxe
named Margo, will be auctioned following her restoration at the
Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2016 in aid of Prostate Cancer
UK.
Displayed in her current state, Margo is being returned to her former glory by the MG Owners’ Club (MGOC) and over the weekend a member of the MGOC workshop will be working on her engine and giving live demonstrations with two sessions on both days.
Richard Morley, Operations Director at Lancaster
Insurance comments: “We’re really excited to be carrying out our first
restoration project for a hugely worthwhile cause, Prostate Cancer UK.
This show is seen as the season opener and we
can’t wait to display our Mini, Margo in her current form to fellow
enthusiasts - we may even pick up a tip or two!”
