The TV coverage of the opening rounds of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship and the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship will first be screened on Friday 27 February at 9pm on Motors TV.
The 90-minute programme on Motors TV will cover the full story of the Red Kite Stages, the first round of both championships. The programme reports on a very tough event after overnight snow and a hard frost made conditions really testing over the first stages of the rally.
Then, as the day progressed the battle for overall BHRC victory came down to the dramatic last stage as a mighty charge from Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke took them from fourth to first in the final run through Caeo. In the R.A.C. Championship, Phil Burton and Mal Capstick took an impressive debut win.
After the initial broadcast on Friday at 9pm, the programme is due to be repeated several times including at 9.30am on Saturday 28 February and at 11.30am on Monday 2 March.
Olly Dickinson is leading the BHRC TV project and will present the programmes and on-event interviews. Each championship round will be covered in detail in a 90-minute programme on Motors TV with multiple repeats to give the championship around 50 hours of TV coverage.
Alongside the TV coverage, the programmes will again be available on iRally. The free iRally App is available for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices and offers an incredibly popular rally video channel. The programmes will also be available via the championship’s YouTube channel.
Support for coverage of the 2015 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship comes from TV partners Chris Browne Builders, JD Garage Equipment, Jordan Road Surfacing, Rally and Competition Equipment, Robinson Road Planing, Sherwood Engines, Skipton Ford, Swift Leisure and Wales Motorsport Fabrications.
